Great description of what it means to be a critical friend! Every point you make is an essential part of being a supportive, honest and helpful critical friend. I especially love the part about asking questions to help guide one's partner to solutions on their own, rather than making suggestions as it allows the friend to truly own their ideas and project, keeping it focused on their true intentions, thoughts and direction. Keeping the discussion focused on the other person makes sure it's productive for the partner. This process will give me the opportunity to practice the coaching conversation model.
